Pastor Lonnie Atwood
Lead Pastor
Pastor Lonnie Atwood has served as the Lead Pastor of Lineville Baptist Church since July 2024. Before coming to Lineville, he faithfully led Cazenovia Park Baptist Church in Buffalo, New York, for more than ten years. He earned his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2013.
Lonnie and his wife, Catherine, have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of seven children—Ella, Abby, Eden, Ireland, Jack, Evie, and Ivy. The Atwoods are grateful to call Lineville home and continue to serve with enthusiasm for what God is doing in both the church and the community.
Jeremy Sartain
Church Administrator and Music Director
Jeremy Sartain serves Lineville Baptist Church as Church Administrator and Director of Music. He oversees the administrative operations of the church and leads the music ministry, supporting worship services and special events through planning, coordination, and leadership.
A retired U.S. Navy veteran, Jeremy serves alongside his wife, Katrina, at LBC. They reside in Ashland with their four children.
Shannon serves as our NextGen director and has been a member of LBC for over 15 years. She has both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Jacksonville State University and has been a teacher at Lineville Elementary School for 20 years. She is married to Rusty, and they have one son, Dawson.

Debbie Whatley
Administrative Assistant and Financial Clerk
Debbie serves as the Church Administrative Assistant and Financial Clerk. In this role, she supports the daily administrative functions of the church, assists with record keeping and finances, and helps ensure smooth communication and organization within the church office.
She has been a member of Lineville Baptist Church since 1992 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Auburn University. Debbie is married to Rick Whatley and has two children—a son, Paul Willis, and a daughter, Haedyn Campbell. She has also been blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Katrina serves as Lineville Baptist Church’s Director of Technology and Media. She and her husband, Jeremy, oversee the church’s digital systems, including database management, sermon archiving, and media production. Katrina also manages content creation and engagement across all church social media platforms and photographs church events for both publication and historical preservation.
She is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communications. Katrina serves alongside her husband at LBC and resides in Ashland with their four children.
