Sale Process:

·      Lineville Baptist Church (“LBC”), as a congregational church, has the authority and has approved for the Stewardship Committee to proceed with a process to market and receive sealed bids for the sale of the referenced property.

·      Sealed bids will be accepted from April 10, 2025, and received (not postmarked) no later than 4:00 p.m. CDT May 9, 2025.

·      The highest bid properly delivered to the church will be put forward for vote at the May 18, 2025, church business meeting. The Stewardship Committee has established a confidential, recommended minimum reserve that will be shared at time of bid review at the church business meeting.

Bids may be submitted as follows:
-  Hand or express delivery to the church office (60315 AL-49, Lineville, AL 36266) in sealed envelope marked to the attention of “Property Bid”.
-   USPS mail to the church marked to the attention of “Property Bid” at PO Box 356, Lineville, AL 36266. Bidder assumes any and all risk of delay for mail not being received by due date.

·      It is strongly recommended that all bidders view the property in person prior to bid submittal. All bids shall include the total amount bid for the entire +/- 77 acres (LBC will not subdivide), sufficient contact information and description regarding the legal purchaser (individual, partnership, LLC, etc.) and intended plans for payment of bid amount.

·      The Stewardship Committee shall hold in confidence all submittals until close of bid period, and no Committee member is eligible to submit a bid for the property.

·      After bids are reviewed and if the high bid is voted for approval by the LBC congregation, the successful bidder shall have 10 calendar days to tender escrow funds equal to 5% of bidding price.
